Cyanoacrylate adhesives typically perform poorly in high humidity or wet conditions, but there are exceptions to this rule. If your finished product will be exposed to a moist environment, we recommend trying Born2Bond Aquafast cyanoacrylate adhesive. It offers the standard benefits of cyanoacrylates – quick cure speed, adhesion to a broad variety of substrates, and ease of use – but is also highly resistant to moisture, solvents, and oils. It also has a service temperature of up to 120°C. This makes it a solid choice for applications including:
- Electronics and appliances
- Outdoor lighting
- Power tools
- Sanitary & kitchen equipment
- Outdoor sports, camping, lighting and pool equipment
- Interior and exterior automotive aftermarket applications
Cyanoacrylate adhesives (CAs), or “super glues”, have a broad range of applications beyond household repair and basic industrial bonding. This post is part of a blog series in which we highlight our go-to cyanoacrylate adhesives for various jobs. We’d be pleased to offer you advice specific to your application if you get in touch.
