Senior Management
Peter is the founder and executive chair of Intertronics. He started the business selling replacement soldering iron tips. Having witnessed seismic technical and commercial changes in the UK electronics manufacturing industry over the last four decades, and rolling with the punches, he now presides over an adhesives business with a diverse, technical customer base. He spends a lot of time thinking strategically, finding new people to work in the company, finding new products to sell, and mentoring the Senior Management Team (the people who really run the business). He loves trying to keep up with the latest sales & marketing trends, and generates a lot of our marketing content.
Peter is a Visiting Fellow at Cranfield University School of Management, a Non-Executive Director of a technology PCB start-up, and runs an SME networking group. In spare moments he attempts to assuage his GAS (guitar acquisition syndrome), tries to play all these guitars, supports Northampton Saints rugby club, and muses over many past Glastonbury festivals.
Teresa started at Intertronics over ten years ago and has continued to grow and develop within the company ever since. Her official job title is Joint Managing Director, but in real terms, she is the doer of all things that need doing (a.k.a. Office Mum).
She looks after our operations team, general office facilities, and is a member of our Senior Management Team. Teresa will often be the one to ask the difficult questions and challenge the status quo, all whilst smiling the day away.
Her main passions outside of work are her children, husband and dog; they are also the reason she likes to drink wine and spend time with her friends at spas.
Ben’s Intertronics story began in the warehouse as a teenager before returning to the business after an economics degree and a seven-year career elsewhere, including two years living in the US. Today, as Joint Managing Director, he brings commercial clarity and an irrepressible optimism to the role, often reminding the team that “we go again.”
He is responsible for our commercial teams as well as our products and partner relationships, with a focus on building capability, sharpening process, and helping good ideas move faster.
Ben is happiest when he is learning, helping, or making something work better than it did yesterday. His satisfaction comes from strong company performance, trusted partnerships, and knowing that Intertronics plays a small part in the remarkable things our customers go on to achieve.
A huge sports enthusiast, he can happily talk NFL well into overtime. His favourite visitors to the office are his children, Max and Patrick, and his spare time is spent with them and with his partner Leila and her daughter Wren.
Sales
With more than a decade of technical expertise under his belt, Matt leads the Sales team with a strategic focus on driving growth, strengthening our presence in existing markets, and identifying new opportunities – all the while ensuring we continue to nurture our most important asset: customer relationships.
When out of the office, he enjoys comedy, watching and playing football, fishing and spending time with his family.
Since joining Intertronics thirteen years ago as a Technical Sales Specialist, Simon has supported our customers in the eastern territory.
Playing his part as the external member of Team East, Simon enjoys problem-solving and working collaboratively with our customers to provide the best possible outcome, both technically and commercially. Having spent a large proportion of his career specialising in the field of UV curing, he now enjoys the broader range of technical challenges presented by our customers.
Simon has found himself married into a family of football fanatics, so spends many (happy?) weekends watching football in North London – white, not red!
Tim Johnson, our External Sales Specialist, brings 30 years of sales expertise in resins and industrial adhesives and works alongside Craig in the North of the UK. Passionate about strategic planning, Tim thrives on building partnerships and tackling unique challenges for our customers.
Outside of work, Tim enjoys traveling, fishing, cycling, and watching football with his son. Recently, his daughter convinced him to add a Cocker Spaniel puppy to the family, meaning more walks are on the horizon! Tim also loves outdoor cooking, proudly managing four barbecues—a hobby his wife fully supports as it keeps him out of her kitchen.
Craig, our Lead Sales Specialist for the North of the UK and Ireland, works alongside Tim to assist our customers in achieving their production goals and enhancing their operational processes.
Beyond his role at Intertronics, Craig supports ‘Oxfordshire Mind‘, a support network based in Oxfordshire that offers safe spaces for all to openly discuss their mental health challenges. Beyond that, Craig delights in baking and getting creative with arts and crafts with his daughter. He’s also a regular participant in Dungeons and Dragons games with his friends.
As Lead Sales Specialist for the East region of the UK, Darren works in partnership with Simon Gibbs. Often one of your first points of contact at Intertronics, he is adept at resolving your queries and can offer quick, authoritative technical support.
Darren is deeply inspired by the enthusiasm of our customers to reach their full potential and relishes the opportunity to make an impact.
Outside work Darren is heavily involved in the local youth rugby club. He is the Head coach for the Gosford All Blacks U7’s, a Youth committee member at the club and an advocate for Visually Impaired Rugby. Darren has a strong interest in ‘heavy metal’ – the music genre, not the metals that we bond with using our adhesives!
Joining our sales team in 2022, Ian works alongside David to support customers in the West of the UK. A registered inventor and holder of a qualification in mechanical engineering, Ian relishes the opportunity to get involved with new and exciting projects and applications.
Ian is a keen foodie who enjoys experimenting with new cuisines and developing his repertoire of recipes to try on his family – with varying degrees of success!
Having hung up his rugby boots many years ago, Ian’s still an avid fan of the sport and enjoys watching his local team play and cheering his sons on from the sidelines.
As Sales Specialist for the West territory, David brings 16 years of experience in technical sales and B2B account management. He enjoys working closely with customers, understanding their challenges, and helping them take their processes to the next level.
Outside of work, David enjoys a laid-back home life with his wife and their cat. He’s big into gaming and loves driving through the Oxfordshire countryside. As a petrolhead, he makes the most of his spare time by heading to local car shows and motorsport events whenever he can.
James has been supporting your orders and managing our stock since 2014. Quotes, proformas, pricing the all-important “where’s my order?” question, he’s always quick to respond in his positive and upbeat manner.
Jimmy’s our resident dangerous goods guru for shipping our boxes overseas via IATA regulations.
A Scout leader and avid rugby fan, he also supports the local community by organising our regular Intertronics food bank donations.
When not at work, he can usually be found outside in the chilly, wet, and windy British weather, either on a campsite or rugby pitch.
Whether it’s an update on your order status or a question about a delivery, Adrian is available to handle your inquiries promptly and effectively, providing you with the support you need.
In addition to his professional capabilities, Adrian also has a passion for sports and media. He is an avid cricketer and has even had the opportunity to work with the European Cricket Network as a commentator in Spain. As a sports enthusiast, he supports Sunderland football and cricket clubs.
Outside of sports, Adrian enjoys immersing himself in the world of science fiction and fantasy films. Some of his favourites include Star Wars and Jurassic Park.
Marketing
Martyn is our Head of Marketing. With a PhD in Physics and a career that’s zig‑zagged from international science research to creative direction for global engineering and healthcare brands, he brings a thoughtful, inquisitive approach to how we communicate — focusing not just on what we say, but how we say it, and why it matters to our customers and the challenges they face.
As an insights partner, Martyn follows industry and technology trends, keeps a close eye on our markets and competitors, and listens for what customers are really feeling — shaping messages that reflect both their needs and the value we deliver.
Away from his keyboard, he’s usually out exploring and photographing landscapes, volunteering in the archives at Modern Art Oxford, performing with local theatre groups, gardening, or losing gracefully at family game nights.
As the Senior Digital Content Executive at Intertronics, it’s Steve’s job to create interesting, thought-provoking content and showcase the tools and capabilities Intertronics has at its disposal.
Steve often spends hours tweaking, updating, and reorganising our company website with videos, products, and technical articles. It’s his aim to help you find exactly what you are looking for, at a click of a button.
When not at the office, you’ll usually find him and his family scrambling up a cold, wet mountain in the Lake District with their dog’s Max and Peggy.
Learning and Development
Our Learning and Development Manager, Kevin, started his time at Intertronics as part of the Sales Team in 2008. He’s worked in numerous departments, building his skills and knowledge along the way.
Kevin plays a vital role in supporting our internal team and customers with comprehensive training, advice and best practice insight.
Kevin has worked in the adhesives industry for over 20 years and is a total geek both at work and home. Outside of Intertronics, Kevin lives in Northampton and is part of multiple church groups. He is a retired ice/roller hockey goalie and referee but still likes to return to the rink to watch the MK Lightning when he can and hog the TV to watch endless highlights of an evening. He is pretty handy in the kitchen too!
Conor supports customers with technical questions about the Dyne Brand, helping them select the right equipment for their needs. With a BSc (Hons) in Physics from York, he enjoys working hands-on with equipment in the Technology Centre and collaborating with the team.
Outside of work, Conor enjoys cooking and experimenting with new recipes, climbing both indoors and outdoors, and relaxing with a great movie.
Engineering
Chris joined Intertronics in 2021, after spending 15 years working in the manufacturing sector. His specialist knowledge of CNC equipment and computer-aided design allows our technical team to produce purpose designed tools and jigs for our customers.
Chris delights in the opportunity to get hands-on with each of his projects, learning how everything works and tinkering to his heart’s content.
A keen motorcyclist outside of work, Chris attends many charity events and camping weekends with his local biker club. He has also passed his foundation radio license, allowing him to communicate with contacts around the world.
Business Analytics
As a member of the Business Analytics team, Leila thrives on problem-solving and is passionate about improving our internal processes. She focuses on analysing, designing, and implementing streamlined, efficient ways to support your applications.
Interestingly, Leila’s career began in a different field—she holds a BA (Hons) in Jewellery and continues to enjoy crafting pieces in her spare time.
Operations
Kezia uses her years of experience in purchasing to keep track of all the stock coming in and out of our busy UK warehouse. Spending much of her day liaising with our trusted global suppliers to maintain a constant stream of materials and equipment, Kezia plays a key role in keeping your manufacturing operation in full swing.
Outside of the 9-5, Kezia enjoys hiking in the countryside with her partner and family, and if she can work a pub halfway into the route, all the better.
Joining Intertronics in 2024, Marie is a key member of our accounts team, playing an essential role in processing payments and invoices. She’s always available to help with any financial queries you may have.
On summer weekends, you can find Marie on the boundary rope, cheering for the local cricket team. She loves attending live music events and enjoys holidays in the sun with a good book—and everything is better with a cold beer in hand!
A valuable member of our quality team, Liam plays an important role in maintaining our ISO 9001 :2015 accreditation and helping you with REACH, RoHs and MSDS document enquiries.
Outside of work, Liam enjoys chilling out and watching American sports on TV, including hockey and basketball. He enjoys cycling on the weekends, and if he can work a pub garden into his route, all the better.
Ryan oversees a broad range of daily warehouse operations, including picking and packaging customer orders, managing stock movements, booking goods in, and producing accurate delivery notes. With ten years of warehousing experience, he brings strong operational expertise and a reliable, hands-on approach to his work.
Ryan enjoys the variety his role offers and values the strong interactions he has across the business. He takes pride in learning about Intertronics’ products and contributing to the projects the team brings to life. Outside of work, he is family-oriented and enjoys spending time with his partner and daughter, maintaining his motorcycle, watching the NFL, gaming, and following all things motorsport.
Scott spends much of his time getting hands-on at his workbench servicing our customer’s various pieces of equipment as well as helping the warehouse, doing stock audits and developing processes to help ensure operational success.
Even when out of the office, Scott still loves getting his hands dirty, often spending his weekends tinkering and modifying cars with his dad. He’s also a keen footballer and Chelsea supporter and enjoys an evening kick about with his three brothers.
