Fluorescing Light-Curing Needle Bonding Adhesive Looking at: Medical Device Manufacturing Selected for: DYMAX 1162-M — New Fluorescing Light-Curing Needle Bonding Adhesive DYMAX presents their new adhesive for bonding needles, syringes and other stainless steel cannula. DYMAX MD® Medical Device Adhesive 1162-M has low viscosity for quick, air free dispensing into needle hub cavities. DYMAX 1162-M bonds stainless steel cannula to polycarbonate, PVC, glass and polypropylene hubs. It produces clear bonds that are exceed pull force of other available adhesives in various needle bonding applications. DYMAX 1162-M cures upon exposure to UV/visible light in fractions of a second when exposed to high intensity UV light, such as that produced by the DYMAX Bluewave 200 spot lamp, or electrodeless focused-beam curing systems. This makes it an ideal adhesive for high-speed, high-volume automated syringe assembly. For in-line inspection, DYMAX 1162-M fluoresces blue under low-intensity black light, which is highly compatible with scanning and vision systems typically incorporated in automated production. This product is also available with the new Ultra-Red™ fluorescing technology DYMAX 1162-M-UR.
