In recent years, there as been a great deal of interest  in the use of LED technology for the curing of UV and visible light reactive adhesives and coatings. LED lamps can offer a number of benefits over the traditional and well understood mercury-based arc lamps, including significantly more stable output, instant on/off and no replacement bulbs.

It is fair to say that the industry has seen quite a few “false starts” with LED curing lamps, and products which haven’t lived up to expectations. Consequently, some industrial users may be reticent to try the technology again.

LED Curing of Light-Curable Materials – Unraveling the Myths and Realities is a very good overview of the best of the current technology in LED-based UV curing. Written by some very experienced folk at Dymax, it will give you an excellent insight into where the technology has developed to today, and how you can use it to your advantage.
