2.5 million. That’s the staggering number of food parcels handed out in the 12 months to April 2021 by the UK’s largest food bank charity. With a record number of households set to utilise these vital services over the festive break, the team at Intertronics are keen to play our part in supporting our local community.

Throughout the month of December, we invited staff and visitors to donate tinned food, pulses, cereals, toiletries and treats towards our annual collection. After a great effort, enough supplies were gathered to fill the back of Jimmy’s Jimny 4×4.

The proceeds were delivered to The North Oxfordshire Community Food Bank, which provides essential support and food parcels to local families in Kidlington, Woodstock, Chipping Norton and Charlbury areas.

A trustee from the organisation wrote us a thoughful thank you:

“Thank you all so much for the very generous donation of food that was delivered to the Foodbank on Friday morning. We really are grateful for all you delivered to us. We are seeing an increased need in what are difficult times for some people individuals, couples and families. We do try to maintain full parcels and what you have given will soon be in parcels plus the extra Christmas parcel we give to them.” – North Oxfordshire Community Food Bank
