Dymax ECE Series UV Curing Flood Lamps
About Dymax ECE Series UV Curing Flood Lamps
Dymax UV Curing Flood Lamps offer moderate- to high-intensity curing over a 12.7cm x 12.7cm (5″ x 5″) or 20.3 cm x 20.3 cm (8″ x 8″) area. Curing in 5-30 seconds is typical using Dymax light-curable materials. These lamps are simple to operate and are available with or without shutters.
Dymax UV Curing Flood Lamps can be used as bench-top curing systems or integrated into automated assembly systems. They offer the industry’s most consistent intensity over the 2,000 hour bulb warranty.
Dymax ECE 2000 UV curing flood lamps
The ECE 2000 UV curing flood lamp is a general purpose, lower intensity flood lamp that offers the largest curing area of the series (20.3 cm x 20.3 cm / 8″ x 8″). It is an excellent choice for curing trays of small parts or large bond areas economically.

Dymax ECE 5000 UV curing flood lamps
The ECE 5000 UV curing flood lamp is a concentrated, higher intensity flood lamp for fast curing of UV adhesives, coatings, sealants and encapsulants. It is our most popular and versatile broad spectrum UV curing flood lamp, with a curing area of 12.7cm x 12.7cm (5″ x 5″).

All systems feature auto-switching power supply, 50-60 Hz, 90-260 volts, fan-cooled, anodised aluminium housing and irradiator shield kit.
Features & Benefits
- Bulb warranty of 2,000 hours
- Typical UV cures of 5-30 seconds (material dependent)
- Two flood lamp options available: 12.7 cm x 12.7 cm (5″ x 5″) and 20.3 cm x 20.3 cm (8″ x 8″) curing area
- Shutter can be actuated manually, by foot pedal or PLC
- Lamp turn-off when the Light Shield door is open
- Reduced light leakage with the ECE Light Shield
- Standard systems contain a metal halide bulb (longwave), with two additional bulb options (shortwave and visible) are available to order
- 100% shielding with safety interlock
- Easy-to-adjust tray height
Specifications
Both the ECE 2000 and ECE 5000 systems are suitable for rapid curing of UV adhesives, coatings, and inks. By adding shielding and/or shutters, these UV light-curing flood lamps can be used as either turnkey bench-top systems or integrated into an automated assembly process. Either unit model can be configured with bulb options to deliver enhanced short-wavelength (UVB), long wave (UVA) or optimized visible (V) energy emissions.
The curing flood lamps consist of a power supply, reflector housing and 400 Watt metal halide UV curing bulb. Accessories can be ordered with or retrofitted to the UV curing lamp after purchase, including shutter assemblies, UV shields and UV flood lamp stands.

Accessories
Shielding for UV Curing Flood Systems |
|
DYMAX offers two shielding options for its UV-curing flood systems, a mounting stand kit and a Light Shield.
Light Shield A complete enclosure offering 360° of shielding with removable shelf and easy open door. |

Shutters for UV Curing Flood Systems |
|
DYMAX UV light-curing flood lamps require warm-up and cool-down time. For that reason, it is not possible to control exposure by turning the lamp power on/off. Shutter, however, can be used to control exposure time. DYMAX offers the following shutters for use with the ECE 2000 and 5000 flood-lamp curing systems.
Zip shutter Electronically driven shutter which retracts with a timer or manual mode |

Manual shutter Lowest cost shutter with two-direction hand-turn knob. No timer. |
