Seldom has the ‘work hard, play hard’ ethos at INTERTRONICS been more amply demonstrated than at our mid-year off-site company meeting last Friday.
Following presentations of plans and results by all of our teams, a review of the last six months and presentation on future strategy by MD Peter Swanson, everyone enjoyed an excellent barbecue in the beautiful surroundings of the Cotswolds countryside. This was followed by an Aunt Sally tournament, a traditional local game which involves the participants attempting to knock a ‘dolly’ off the top of pole by throwing wooden battens at it.
All very innocent, you might think. But we’re a competitive lot, and everyone demonstrated impressive skill and tenacity in their efforts to win. The winning team is shown here, from left to right: Phil (Marketing), Kevin (Sales), Peter (Managing Director), Jane (Sales) and John (Materials Management/Quality). Despite Peter being in the winning team, we’re assured it wasn’t a fix! Note the “no expense spared” cup.
Needless to say, a good time was had by all – and we are fired up and ready to tackle the next six months.
