A heartening article on the website of our friends at EMT WorldWide: they report on a strong comeback of the global robotics industry. In 2010, with more than 115,000 industrial robots shipped, the number of units sold worldwide almost doubled, with 2009 being the lowest year since the early ’90s. The growth in UK manufacturing will need to be underpinned by investment in automation like this – including robots for dispensing adhesives, sealants, gaskets and the like.
