Desoldering Braid

Description
To ensure quality and reliable service, we start with only the finest oxygen-free and oil-free fine gauge wire. Our 100% copper wick is then coated with flux, which cleans connections thoroughly during desoldering to insure maximum solderability. This thin coating of flux also provides dependable, long-lasting protection from oxidation.

• Techspray vacuum seals its ProWick in durable clear plastic to protect it from moisture and to prolong shelf life of the product. This special packaging ensures the highest possible quality from the factory to the production floor.
• Our Fine Braid design has a strong capillary action that works instantly to pull in excess solder. In addition, the large surface area created by the one-over/one-under construction enhances absorption and trapping of molten solder.

Directions
Be sure the solder iron is at adequate temperature. Different size braids may need an adjustment in temperature. For solder removal, place proper size braid in equal size diameter of soldering tip onto solder joint. Apply firm pressure down with a slight rotation of the wrist to ensure that all of the solder is removed. Remember that fast wicking is very important to ensure that the pcb will not be damaged due to extensive heat. Do not apply any lateral pressure to the circuit board, which may cause damage to pads.
