About Primer for Cyanoacrylate Adhesives

adhere 9770 cyanoacrylate primer improves the adhesion of cyanoacrylate adhesives to difficult to bond plastics such as polypropylene, polyethylene, silicone rubber and even PTFE (Teflon®). It dries in less than 30 seconds, and its useful life on the part is up to 8 hours. This primer is part of our adhere Cyanoacrylate Adhesive range.

adhere Cyanoacrylate Adhesives are superior quality, high purity single part professional adhesives which have numerous applications in all aspects of high technology, high performance assembly. Curing at room temperature in seconds, they provide excellent bond strength on a wide range of similar and dissimilar substrates. The range includes general purpose, rubber-toughened, surface-insensitive, and low odour, low blooming formulations, as well as an activator which can be used to increase adhesion, improve cure speed and pre-treat porous surfaces.

Applications

  • Bonding of difficult-to-bond plastics, when used with a cyanoacrylate adhesive

Apply primer only to substrates requiring priming (low surface energy plastics, rubbers, etc), allow the solvent to evaporate, and then immediately apply adhesive and assemble. Primer will also increase cure speed.

Storage
Store in cool, well ventilated area. Keep container tightly closed. Keep away from sources of ignition. Keep away from direct sunlight. Prevent the build-up of electrostatic charge in the immediate area. Ensure lighting and electrical equipment are not a source of ignition. Avoid storing with strong oxidising agents and strong acids and avoid storing in direct sunlight, on hot surfaces, when sources of ignition, flames or heat could be present.
