General Purpose Solder Pots
Plato General Purpose Solder Pots control temperature ± 6°C through the use of a thermal timer switch with automatic correction for voltage fluctuations.

Standard features include:

• A three index position control switch with infinitely variable temperature control
• Safety heat shield
• Removable dross tray for easy cleaning
• Three-wire, earthed UL listed cord
• 64mm diameter by 38mm deep crucible
• Adjustable leveling feet
• Capacity: 1 kg

Precision Temperature Controlled Solder Pots
Plato's Precision Temperature Controlled Solder Pots exceed the requirements of specifications ANSI J-STD-001 and Navy WS-6536E. The pots control temperatures to ± 2.75°C of a pre-selected setting from ambient to 496°C and have an LCD temperature display.

Standard features include:

• A new solid state controller that limits transient voltage spiking to 2mV peak-to-peak, or less, for voltage sensitive components
• A temperature preset switch to select the desired temperature
• An LCD that displays present temperature and operating temperature
• Internal circuitry to compensate for incoming power fluctuations, power line circuit breaker
• All metal construction for ESD protection
• Safety heat shield
• Removable dross tray for easy cleaning
• Three-wire, grounded UL listed cord

Porcelain Solder Pot Crucibles
These ceramic crucibles are available as an option with Plato Solder Pots, or may be ordered as a retrofit.

• Eliminate solder degradation due to absorption of metal
• Porcelain resists corrosion when used with activated fluxes or chemicals and lead-free solders
• Assures solder consistency and purity
• Porcelain crucible wipes clean

Test results have indicated that this product is suitable for lead-free soldering, which often occurs at higher temperatures. Lead-free solder alloys with high tin content will corrode conventional solder pot materials. Please evaluate these products in your lead-free process.

To order add the letter "P" to the end of any Plato standard solder pot part number. For example, PLA SP-500T would be ordered as PLA SP-500TP to include the porcelain crucible option. To order as a retrofit for an existing Plato solder pot use part number PLA SP-1103P to replace 64mm diameter crucibles or PLA SPT-209P to replace 102mm by 152mm diameter crucibles.

Dross Skimmer
This handy maintenance tool is used to remove dross from solder pots & crucibles.

The PLA SP-1200 has a stainless steel blade to repel and maintain the purity of the solder and a wooden handle to insulate against heat. Blade measures 19mm wide x 89mm long. Overall length of tool 216mm.
