Description
INT TS Series and INT TSW Series Titanium PCB Edge Protection Strips are formed push-on masks which protect gold fingers and edges during soldering. The are manufactured from non-wetting titanium. The lip prevents "pcb diving" during wave soldering, by not allowing the solder wave to break over on to the top surface of the board. They are also called "wave solder ploughs". These titanium strips also act as stiffeners, and restrict board warpage and twist.
Two types are available, INT TS Series and INT TSW Series
INT TS Series are single part, formed strips. INT TSW Series have a two-part welded construction, which allows cut-outs to accommodate components between rows of gold fingers or close to the edges of the pcb.

Standard lengths and custom sizes
Titanium strips are supplied in 18 inch lengths as standard; they can easily be cut to suit requirements. Fully customised strips are available (width, thickness, length and special cut-outs or clips).

Test results indicate that this product is suitable for lead-free soldering, which often occurs at higher temperatures. Please evaluate in your lead-free process. |
