Araldite 2000 Plus Adhesives Range
The famous Araldite® 2000 Plus Range of structural adhesives have had five new adhesives added to the collection, including polyurethane adhesives and a methacrylate adhesive that requires minimal surface treatment. Focusing on the particular needs of bonding metals and plastics to dissimilar materials, the range offers extended possibilities to both design engineers and manufacturers alike.

This range is the most comprehensive of its kind available and the only product family to offer complete solutions based on three key chemistries - epoxy, methacrylate and polyurethane.

The five new products are:

Multi-Purpose adhesive
Araldite 2029 - Two component gap filling polyurethane adhesive
· Medium open time
· Designed to bond composites and metals
· Adhesion to copper and brass

Flexible adhesive
Araldite 2045 - Two component flexible polyurethane adhesive
· Ideal for bonding thermoplastics and thermosets
· Fast setting
· Gap filling properties

Rapid cure adhesive
Araldite 2028 - Two component transparent polyurethane adhesive
· Flexible
· Fast curing
· UV stable

Toughened adhesives
Araldite 2031 - Black epoxy paste adhesive system
· Thixotropic - non slumping
· Toughened adhesive, resilient bond
· Suitable for metal and composite bonding, good adhesion onto polyamides

Araldite 2048 - Two component toughened methacrylate adhesive system
· Tolerant to "less than ideal" pretreatment
· Gap filling up to 8mm
· Tough flexible bonds for use in dynamic environment

Each product can improve the performance and longevity of the materials they bond and is individually suited for joining a wide variety of substrates including plastics, metals and composite materials. The range also caters for particular requirements including heat and chemical resistance and provides a wide range of viscosities to address diverse manufacturing processes.
