Opti-tec fibre optic adhesives
The Opti-tec range of Fibre Optic and Optical Epoxies, Potting Compounds, Adhesives and Optical Materials includes a proven range of epoxy adhesives designed for your fibre optic terminating applications.

Opti-tec 5053-F is an excellent alternative to the traditional heat cure terminating epoxy, but with performance and process enhancements. Still featuring the colour change upon cure, from amber to red, Opti-tec 5053-F cures fast. It is also has health & safety benefits, with a lower tendency to cause sensitisation and is friendlier to your operators.

Opti-tec 5007 will cure quickly at lower temperatures, and will even work at room temperature. There is a blue version which can help with visual inspection, and the clear version is suitable for evaluating in medical device applications, passing the industry's cytotoxicity test. Opti-tec 5007 is our product of choice for fibre optic "pot & polish" terminating for those looking at this application afresh.

Opti-tec 5054 is our highest temperature resistant epoxy product, and has many applications in addition to fibre optics. It also has a medical devices approval, and is available in a higher viscosity, thixotropic version.

Opti-tec 5012 is a clear epoxy which cures at room temperature or can be accelerated by heat. Opti-tec 5012 has found applications with plastic fibre bonding, where low cure temperatures are required.
