• No-Clean Wick Desoldering Braid
  New & improved! Rosin free, colophony free. The cleanest desolder braid in the industry. The proprietary flux formula is specially designed to avoid pcb failures caused by ionic flux residues. Our most popular wick.
• Pro Wick Desoldering Braid
  For the fastest wicking action, rosin flux coated braid is ideal for high volume pcb production or repair environments.
• Unfluxed Wick Desoldering Braid
  For operators who are required to use water soluble flux, or a specified flux.

• Amount of solder involved - for larger solder beads, a wider braid is recommended for single pass wicking. Repeat desoldering applications subject component and pad to unnecessary prolonged heat.
• Desired speed of operation - wider braid allows the entire solder beads to be wicked in a single pass, speeding up the repair process.
• Size of pad or connection - the width of the braid should match the width of the pad or solder ball. If desoldering braid is too wide, it will increase heating time and slow wicking action. If braid is too narrow, more applications will be required to remove all the solder. Various techniques can be used to best match the braid to individual desoldering requirements.
