Description
DYMAX UV Light Curing Plastic Bonding Adhesives cure in seconds upon exposure to ultraviolet light and/or visible light, even through UV blocked plastics. A solvent-free, worker-friendly plastic adhesive forms high-strength, environmentally resistant bonds to plastics and other substrates, including polycarbonate, PVC, phenolic, acrylic (PMMA), metal, glass and ceramic. Because plastic adhesives bond so many different substrates, they are exceptional adhesives for bonding dissimilar materials, something that cannot be done with traditional welding methods and other types of adhesives. Typical UV plastic adhesive applications include display case construction, automotive headlamp assembly, novelty bonding, sign assembly, adhering light fixtures and awards and plastic package assembly.

Adhesive Applications Adhesive features
Most popular, core products
DYMAX 3094 Bonding display cases, shelves; laminating plastic sheets; packaging; bonds to acrylic, ABS, styrene, polycarbonate, polyurethane UV light and/or visible light curing; dispenses easily and cures quickly for precise quantity and placement of adhesive; bonds generally exceed the strength of substrates bonded, including PVC alloys, which resist most other bonding methods
DYMAX 3099 Bonding clear and translucent acrylic, PMMA, polycarbonate, PVC alloys, and polyurethane. Bonding point-of-sale plastics Resilient adhesive with excellent adhesion to acrylic (PMMA). Clear, low viscosity UV cured adhesive produces clear, bubble-free bondlines. Can be cured with the DYMAX BlueWave LED
See-Cure Adhesive Technology
DYMAX 3220-SC Bonding and laminating plastics including PVC, PC, ABS, PET, PEBA, and PU See-Cure adhesives appear blue when dispensed and become clear when fully cured. This allows users to know where the adhesive has been applied, as well as if the adhesive is fully cured; flexible
DYMAX 3221-SC Bonding and laminating plastics including PMMA, PVC, PC, PU, PA, PET, and ABS See-Cure adhesives appear blue when dispensed and become clear when fully cured. This allows users to know where the adhesive has been applied, as well as if the adhesive is fully cured; flexible; multi-substrate adhesion
DYMAX 3222-SC Appliance assembly; plastics lamination; metal-to-plastic bonding; bond joint & sealing; plastic window bonding. PC, PMMA, PVC, PU, PA, metals, glass See-Cure adhesives appear blue when dispensed and become clear when fully cured. This allows users to know where the adhesive has been applied, as well as if the adhesive is fully cured; flexible; multi-substrate adhesion
DYMAX 3224-SC Industrial plastics bonding; film laminating; strain relief; connectors and hoses See-Cure adhesives appear blue when dispensed and become clear when fully cured. This allows users to know where the adhesive has been applied, as well as if the adhesive is fully cured; flexible; multi-substrate adhesion
Other plastic bonders
DYMAX 3013 Bonding transparent or translucent acrylic, metal, polycarbonate, PVC alloys, ABS, polyurethane and polystyrene Resilient; general purpose; low viscosity; moisture resistant; flexible; dispenses easily and cures quickly for precise quantity and placement of adhesive; built-in fluorescence provides a method to insure in-line quality control utilizing optical scanners
DYMAX 3021 High strength UV epoxy; bonds glass, various plastics and most metals Low shrinkage (<0.2%); resists yellowing; maintains dimensions with minimal degradation of strength when thermally cycled; cures fully in seconds upon UV/visible light exposure, but heating the cured product to 150°C for 1 hour will increase the Tg to 100°C and may further improve bond strength. Can be cured with the DYMAX BlueWave LED
DYMAX 3025 Bonding polycarbonate; flexible and rigid PVC; ABS; acrylic; stainless steel Moisture resistant; solvent-free; rapid cures; low viscosity
DYMAX 3125-UR Plastic housing assembly; plastic window bonding; appliance assembly Ultra-Red fluorescing under a low-intensity "black" light; adhesion to a wide variety of glass, metals, and plastics; moisture resistant
DYMAX 3069 Electrical bonding; potting; wire harness assembly; bonds to polycarbonate, PVC, polyurethane, PET Low stress; clear; environmentally resistant; adheres to most surfaces; good for flexible and rigid substrates
DYMAX 3070 Bonding rigid fittings to flexible tubing; adheres to PVC, SAN, PBT, polycarbonate, styrene, mylar, polyester High water and moisture resistance at elevated temperatures; NVP-free; flexibility provides shock absorbing capabilities in the bond area
DYMAX 3072 Electrical potting and sealing; bonds to PBT, Valox®, metal, glass, PVC, SAN, PS and K-Resin® UV and/or visible light curing; dispenses easily to allow for precise quantity and placement of adhesive; bonds generally exceed the strength of substrates bonded, including PVC alloys, which resist most other bonding methods. Can be cured with the DYMAX BlueWave LED
DYMAX 3081 Sealing PVC clamshell packages Strong bonds to thermoformed PVC
DYMAX 3083 Sealing PET & R-PET clamshell packages Strong bonds to thermoformed PET and R-PET
DYMAX 3086 Packaging; bonds to SAN, ABS, CAP, MBS, acrylic, glass, ceramic and metal Very fast; structural strength adhesive; hard, rigid bonds; UL94 V-0 flame class rating
DYMAX 3089 Laminating and bonding; adheres to PET, glass PETG, Mylar®, K-Resin®, PP and brass Low stress; very fast curing; flexible UV adhesive; resilient bonds exhibiting high flexibility to minimize or eliminate bond line stresses. Excellent polyester (Mylar) bonder
DYMAX 3091 Low stress plastic bonder; rapid bonding of PVC, acrylic, nylon, PC, PU, styrene Dispenses easily; moisture resistant; multi-substrate adhesion; extremely fast curing

This guide represents only a small portion of the DYMAX adhesive library. Call us to help you select the appropriate adhesive for your specific application. Optimal curing of DYMAX UV adhesives requires a light source with peak intensity at 365 nm. Our light curing adhesives will also absorb visible light at 410-440 nm from the same light source for deeper and faster curing through UV inhibited or semi-opaque substrates. Recommendations should be used as a guide for evaluation and laboratory testing of particular substrate grades and applications.
