Intertronics - a solid base

Intertronics was established in 1979 to sell hand soldering consumables - not just as a distributor but as a proactive and reliable supplier.

As the company's product range expanded and our customer base grew, we quickly began to earn an envied reputation. We understood our customers - their products, processes and needs. We could often solve their problems. We had an intimate knowledge of our products. Most items were ex-stock. We could supply a lot of the awkward items which were difficult to procure anywhere else. Our service was efficient and flexible.

Intertronics - today

The same basic principles on which we built the company are still fundamental to Intertronics' culture.

Our reputation, still envied among our competitors, has resulted in steady growth in all areas - product ranges, markets, people and premises. But contrary to the all-too-familiar situation where such growth can lead to intransigence, poor communication and impaired service, our service and flexibility are as sharp now as they have always been.

Now, Intertronics' active customer list exceeds 2,000, ranging from multinational manufacturing giants to small specialist design and development houses, universities, training organisations and government establishments.

From our original focused market place of PCB assembly and fabrication companies, we have diversified into customers specialising in optics and fibre optics, electronic components, medical devices, automotive, laboratory equipment and general industrial applications.

But diversification does not mean a reduction in focus on existing areas. Every customer is as highly regarded as the next. Many of our relationships, built on service and trust, have developed to the level where Intertronics is regarded as a long term strategic supply partner.

Many companies who were buying from Intertronics in 1979 are still regular customers today.
